Ecclesiology and Eschatology #9 – Views of the Millennium

This week we start our final two week study on Eschatology. As we mentioned, one’s view of the church will influence how we understand the last things. Another factor in understanding “end times” is how we interpret apocryphal writings such as Revelation. We spent one summer on the four views of Revelation and this class session we will summarize these four views. All of them agree that Christ is coming and will bring a new heaven and new earth. But the order and means of those events are what is in question. Part of our view will be what is meant by the millennium, or the thousand years mentioned in Revelation 20:1-10. We will look at the three views of the millennium.
