Eastern Religions – #7 Shinto and Baha’i

In this class session we looked at two religions quite different from one another. Shinto has been the heart of Japan much like Confucianism was for China. It was used to highten the Nationalistic spirit, especially around the time of WWII.

Baha’i came out of the Islamic world and would have been crushed by Islam if it had not taken refuge in other countries, especially the United States. It is a newer religion from the 1800’s that looks to create oneness in religion and society.
