Eastern Religions – #6 Confucianism and Taoism

In this class session we looked at two religions with roots in China. Confucianism is really more of a philosophy than a religion. It became the heart of China and the Chinese people. It is pragmatic and an attempt to make the ideal society. Toasim rejects the reality of Confucianism with a vauge concept called Tao or “The Way”. This is as much undefinable as Zen.
